We are excited to spotlight the owner of an accounting firm with a culture of inclusion and equity. Felisha Leffler, owner of [Piper Accounting Solutions](https://piperaccounting.com/), has built an organization where people can be confident and secure that they are valued and respected. Through her advocacy for women's leadership and her own journey as a woman business owner, Felisha has shown that when we embrace equity, we can create opportunities for all people to succeed, regardless of their gender, race, or background. By listening to diverse voices and valuing diverse perspectives, we can build more resilient and innovative organizations that benefit everyone. > "Different backgrounds, experiences, and skill levels mean different ideas. I love input! Diversity helps bring new ideas!" At Piper Accounting Solutions, Felisha has worked hard to connect with candidates entering the field of accounting, especially those from underrepresented groups. By providing mentorship, training, and support to new professionals, she is helping to create a more diverse and equitable workforce while combating the industry's 17% decrease in people going into the field. When asked what advice she has for young women wanting to get into leadership roles, Felisha emphasized the importance of education. She believes that reading and learning as much as possible is critical to success, "Go to school and read all you can. Books are important!" This is especially true in fields like accounting, which are constantly changing and evolving. Additionally, Felisha advises us all to to keep showing up and fighting for women. This includes voting in local elections and advocating for change at the community, school, and business levels. Advocates like Ruth Bader Ginsburg had a significant impact on Felisha's professional development. She sees RBG as a role model for strong women who refuse to give up. This has inspired Felisha to encourage her daughter and nieces to pursue their dreams, no matter what anyone else says. As a woman who embodies the spirit of leadership and inspires other to do the same, Felisha's dedication to education, diversity, and breaking stereotypes has made her a role model for women everywhere. She is a powerful reminder that when we #embraceequity and prioritize diversity and inclusion, we can create a better future for everyone.
